The present invention relates to novel heteroaryl-triazole and heteroaryl-tetrazole compounds of the general formula (I), in which the structural elements Y, Q1, Q2, R1, R2, R3a, R3b, R4 and R5 have the meaning given in the description, to formulations and compositions comprising such compounds and for their use in the control of animal pests including arthropods and insects in plant protection and to their use for control of ectoparasites on animals.本發明係有關新穎之通式(I)雜芳基-三唑及雜芳基-四唑化合物，其中結構元素Y、Q1、Q2、R1、R2、R3a、R3b、R4與R5係如說明書中指示之定義，並有關包含此等化合物之調配物與組成物，及其在植物保護中控制動物害蟲(包括節肢動物與昆蟲)之用途，及其在控制動物之體外寄生蟲上之用途。
