The memory stores optional-direction M-mode cursor set position information and associating it with the optional-direction M-mode cursor set position information selector. The optional-direction M-mode cursor image generator generates an optional-direction M-mode cursor image and based ON the optional-direction M-mode cursor set position information that has been associated with the optional-direction M-mode cursor set position information selector that was selected.
