A method of treating a bacterial infection in a subject is disclosed. The method comprises administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide being between 3 and 5 amino acids, wherein at least one amino acid of said 3 and 5 amino acids is selected from the group consisting of tryptophan, cysteine, proline and methionine.Linvention concerne une méthode de traitement dune infection bactérienne chez un sujet. La méthode comprend ladministration au sujet dune quantité thérapeutiquement efficace dun peptide comprenant entre 3 et 5 acides aminés, au moins un acide aminé desdits 3 et 5 acides aminés étant choisis dans le groupe consistant en tryptophane, cystéine, proline et méthionine.
