A system and apparatus for attaching ground engaging tools proximate to the pivot point of an agricultural implements (10) provided. The system includes a flex apparatus (30) configured to be operatively attached proximate to the pivot point (26) of an agricultural implement (10) by a pin. The flex apparatus (30) may be configured to rotate as the pivot point (26) of the agricultural implement (10) flexes. The flex apparatus (30) may include tracks, slots, or the like (40), configured to dampen the rotation of the flex apparatus (30) relative to the flex of the pivot point (26) of the agricultural implement (10). The size, location and orientation of the tracks, slots, or the like (40), may be configured to provide varying amounts of rotation of the flex apparatus (30) relative to the flex of the pivot point (26) of the agricultural implement (10).
