The invention relates to a femoral hip joint spacer having a prosthesis bodyhaving a ballhead (1) with a sliding surface (2), a neck (3), a collar (4) and a stem (5),wherein at leastone fastening area (6) is arranged on the stem (5) of the prosthesis body, thehip jointspacer further having a first connecting means (8) for feeding a medicalirrigation liquid intothe prosthesis body, a second connecting means (9) for draining the irrigationliquid fromthe prosthesis body, an irrigation liquid inlet opening, wherein the firstconnecting means(8) is connected in liquid-conveying manner to the irrigation liquid inletopening, an irrigationliquid outlet opening, wherein the second connecting means (9) is connected inliquid-conveying manner to the irrigation liquid outlet opening, at least oneirrigation liquiddischarge opening (14) and at least one irrigation liquid intake opening (16,18), whereinthe at least one irrigation liquid discharge opening (14) is connected insidethe prosthesisbody to the irrigation liquid inlet opening and the at least one irrigationliquid intake opening(16, 18) is connected inside the prosthesis body to the irrigation liquidoutlet opening.
