An artificial vascular layer comprising: a substrate defining a network of channels that has at least one input channel and at least one output channel and at least two intermediate channels that connect at least partially the at least one input channel and the at least one exit channel, each channel having a height, a length, a width and a diameter, wherein the intermediate channels are formed according to Murray's law by varying said height and width with respect to adjacent parts of the channels of input and output and the length of at least one of the channels is formed based on the respective diameter whereby said channels have a biomimetic length, preferably a scaled biomimetic length.Una capa vascular artificial que comprende: un sustrato que define una red de canales que tiene al menos un canal de entrada y al menos un canal de salida y al menos dos canales intermedios que conectan al menos parcialmente el al menos un canal de entrada y el al menos un canal de salida, teniendo cada canal una altura, una longitud, una anchura y un diametro, en donde los canales intermedios estan formados de acuerdo con la ley de Murray variando dichas altura y anchura con respecto a partes adyacentes de los canales de entrada y de salida y la longitud de al menos uno de los canales esta formada basada en el diametro respectivo por lo que dichos canales tienen una longitud biomimetica, preferentemente una longitud biomimetica escalada.
