PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food analysis apparatus capable of reducing time and effort required for a user to obtain a target in at least one of calorie and components in a measurement object.SOLUTION: A food analysis apparatus 1 includes a measuring unit 20, an input unit 50, a control section 40 and an adjustment section 30. The measuring unit 20 measures the amount of light of a specific wavelength which correlates with a component of the measurement object S. The adjustment section 30 separates a part of the measurement object S. The control section 40 calculates measured calorie of the measurement object S on the basis of the output from the measuring unit 20. The control section 40 also calculates an ideal calorie on the basis of a piece of information input by a user through the input unit 50. The adjustment section reduces the calorie of the measurement object S to be separated on the basis of a comparison between the measured calorie and the ideal calorie.
