PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for imparting a well-stewed feeling to a stewed dish by a short-time cooking step without using a special device or a special method although a long-time cooking step is required usually in order to impart the well-stewed feeling thereto and to provide the stewed dish which is prevented from falling apart when stewed even when the well-stewed feeling is imparted thereto.SOLUTION: Quality of the stewed dish is improved by forcing rare sugar containing at least D-psicose as an effective component to coexist when the stewed dish is prepared.
