PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forcing plants using LED lamps including appropriately adjusting the mixing ratio of red LED lamps and blue LED lamps utilizing rapid ON/OFF characteristics and homochromatic lighting characteristics of the LED lamps to adjust the light amount ratio at which light is emitted, so as to maximally promote the growth of the cultured plants via a means for repeating lighting time and turning-off time in a prescribed speed range, and to provide a device for forcing plants using LED lamps.SOLUTION: The method for forcing plants using LED lamps includes: mixing red LED light having a wavelength band of 660 nanometers and blue LED light having a wavelength band of 450 nanometer in a quantity ratio of 5:1 so as to regulate the quantity ratio of the red LED light to the blue LED light into (5:1)-(10:1) and regulating the ratio of the lighting time to the turning-off time into (1:1) or (1:2) so that the lighting time is regulated between 100 microseconds and 10 seconds.
