PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency treatment instrument for endoscope appropriately adapted for avoiding a situation in which accretion depositing on a surface of an energized member hampers an operator from performing proper treatment.SOLUTION: The high-frequency treatment instrument for endoscope comprises: a flexible sheath 15 insertable into a treatment instrument insertion channel of an endoscope a conductive tip member 12 fitted into a tip of the flexible sheath a conductive wire 13 inserted into the flexible sheath a conductive rod-shaped knife portion 12a connected to a tip of the wire, the amount of the knife portion protruding from a tip surface of the flexible sheath being changed when a control unit advances or retracts the wire within the flexible sheath and a contact portion connectable with a high-frequency power supply for passing a high-frequency current through the tip member and the knife portion via the wire.
