The present invention relates to a lens holder (100) for mounting or positioning, in a pair of goggles (such as ski goggles) suitable for winter sports, at least one optical lens (130, 140) for correcting visual impairment of a user. The outer edge of the lens holder (100) is designed to mount the lens holder in a closely fitting manner to the outer lens (310) of the pair of goggles suitable for winter sports. Furthermore the lens holder (100) is adapted for the mounting or positioning of at least one optical lens (130, 140). When the lens holder is mounted, at least one optical lens is positioned outside the minimal surface defined by the external edge of the lens holder. Furthermore at least one closed space is defined by the lens holder, the at least one optical lens (130, 140) and the outer lens (310) of the pair of goggles (such as ski goggles).
