PURPOSE: A composition containing polyaspartic acid for reducing high temperature injury is provided to enhance leaf and root weight and leaf number and to promoter initial growth. CONSTITUTION: A composition for reducing high temperature injury of water culture plant contains 99.69 wt% of polyaspartic acid(PAA). The composition additionally contains 0.1 wt% of boron, 0.1 wt% of iron, 0.1 wt% of zinc, or 0.01 wt% of molybdenum. The water culture plants are Chinese cabbage, spinach, lettuce, or Oenanthe javanica.
