PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter capable of preventing, for example, overexpansion of a balloon, caused by environmental changes in an organ, such as generation of carbon dioxide in the organ.SOLUTION: In the catheter 10, a catheter body 11 includes an introduction tube 20 and a catheter head 30 from which the introduction tube 20 is elongated. In the introduction tube 20, the inflatable/deflatable balloon 50 is provided at a leading end and a main lumen 21 for feeding liquid food etc. into the organs, and a sub-lumen 25 for introducing a fluid into the balloon 50 are formed. The catheter head 30 comprises an injection port 15 which communicates with the main lumen 21, a communication passage 32 which communicates with the sub-lumen 25, and a fluid introduction plug portion 31 which is openably/closably connected to the communication passage 32 and which is opened when a syringe I for injecting the fluid is inserted into the communication passage 32.
