Le matériau absorbant l'eau (1) contient, comme matériau constitutif, du papier obtenu par séparation du poly(chlorure de vinyle) présent dans du papier peint contenant du PVC.廃棄時の環境負荷が小さくかつ低コストで製造することが可能な吸水処理材及びその製造方法を提供する。吸水処理材１は、塩ビ壁紙からポリ塩化ビニルを分離して得られた紙を材料として含有している。
