The present invention is a safety needle assembly (100) having a hub (1), a cannula (2), a collar (3), a protector (4), and a sheath (5). The sheath (5) is provided with: an opening for accommodating the cannula (2); a cannula fixing part for fixing the cannula (2) accommodated in the opening; a mounting part for rotatably supporting the sheath (5), the mounting part being mounted on the hub (1) or the collar (3); and a protruding stopper for the finger of a user for pressing on the sheath (5) in order to accommodate the cannula (2) in the opening of the sheath (5), the protruding stopper being provided in the center vicinity in the length direction on the opposite side from the opening surface of the opening, or in a more distal end-side position of the sheath (5).
