PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for diabetes, which has an effect like insulin but no side effect of as a conventional oral diabetes drug, and which can be adapted to treatment of a slight hyperglycemia condition or a method of daily intake of drug.SOLUTION: As an active ingredient of a composition for diabetes, an extract residue of fermented tea obtained through the following steps (1) and (2) is used.
