Die Erfindung betrifft eine Bepflanzungsmatte (10), deren eine Mattenseite (3) zur Anlage: an einer Mauer (2) oder dergleichen vertikal orientierter Unterlage bestimmt ist und an deren anderer Mattenseite (4) ein Vegetationssubstrat (5) anbringbar ist. Für die erfindungsgemäße Bepflanzungsmatte (10) ist kennzeichnend, dass die zum Abringen des Vegetationssubstrats (5) bestimmte Mattenseite (4) eine Mehrzahl taschenartiger Ausformungen trägt, die als Bepflanzungstaschen (7) ausgestaltet sind, welche Bepflanzungstaschen (7) an ihrem untenliegenden Taschengrund (8) jeweils einen Wasserspeicher bilden (vgl.
