An assembly for a drug delivery device (1) comprises a housing (2) having a proximal end and a distal end, a dose button (4) configured to be moved with respect to the housing (2) for setting and delivering a dose of a drug, and a resilient setting member (7). For a dose delivery movement, the dose button (4) is arranged to be moveable in the distal direction with respect to the housing (2) from a dose delivery position, thereby deforming the resilient setting member (7) to store energy in the resilient setting member (7). The assembly is configured to use the energy stored in the resilient setting member (7) for a dose setting movement to move the dose button (4) in the proximal direction with respect to the housing (2) into the dose delivery position.
