The present invention relates to an automated hair transplant device for transplanting a selected hair into a hair loss area. The transplanting method comprises: selecting a hair of which the root is healthy, making the selected hair have a predetermined length without harming the follicle thereof, putting the hair of a predetermined length in a hair transplant needle, inserting the hair transplant needle into the scalp into which the hair is transplanted, and then separating the hair transplant needle from the scalp while leaving the hair therein.
