The present invention relates to an infrared pulse meter which projects infrared to the pulse of a hand to observe pulse condition of being floating, medium, or sunken. The reflection of an incident infrared is utilized to measure the grayscale value, and the level of the grayscale value is utilized to recognize the pulse to be floating, medium or sunken so as to quantify the pulse point of floating, medium, or sunken. Utilizing camera to photograph the different grayscale value of reflected light resulted in a floating, medium, and sunken pulse due to projected infrared to the skin. Using a computer to analyze the quantified data of the grayscale values of floating, medium or sunken pulse, the floating, medium or sunken pulse point can be quantified. Furthermore, treatment means such as acupuncture, massage and etc. can be applied, and variation of pulse can be observed in real time to learn the treatment effect.
