A terrarium including a base, a support column, a top, and one or more panels with a closure is provided. The base can include a base channel, and the top can include a top channel. The top can be supported by the support column above the base. A panel can extend between the top and the base, being disposed in the top channel and the base channel, and forming an opening. Another panel can form a closure over the opening, with that panel optionally slidable to selectively access an internal compartment of the terrarium. A floater projection can be included on the closure panel and can engage a support rim on the base channel so as to support the panel and reduce friction of the panel moving relative to the base channel, for example, by supporting the panel above a channel bottom wall.
