The device is intended for the detection and observation of living objects and can be used as search and rescue and diagnostic equipment used in stationary and field conditions. The apparatus comprises a transmitting-receiving antenna (1) controlled by the antenna switch (2), forming path of the microwave signal, a probing signal path, the reference signal path, a return signal receiver and a control unit, and synchronization signals. The apparatus includes two controllable electronic switches. Input of the first switch (7) connected to the output path forming microwave signal. The control input of the switch (7) is connected to the output of the programmable delay line (24). The first switch output (7) connected to the input path of the probing signal and the second output - with an input reference signal path. Second controllable electronic switch (11) is connected in the receiver to the first inputs of the mixers (12, 17) in-phase and quadrature channels for processing a return signal. The second inputs of the mixers are connected to the reference signal path. Between input switch (11) and the output of the antenna switch (2) includes a power amplifier successively reflected signal (10), variable attenuator (9) and a low noise amplifier of the reflected signal (8). The control input of the switch (11) connected to the output of the programmable delay line (24). processing a return signal channels comprise serially connected to the outputs of the mixers (12, 17) of the lowpass filters (13, 18) and signal amplifiers (14, 19) sampling and storage devices (15, 20) and an analog-to-digital signal converters (16, 21). The outputs of inverters (16, 21) connected to data inputs of the microcontroller (22). The information output of the microcontroller (22) is connected to a liquid crystal display (23) for imaging the processed information.
