The present invention relates to an emulsion-type cosmetic composition for coating keratin fibres, comprising: - an aqueous phase, - at least one wax, - at least one anionic surfactant comprising a cationic counterion, and - at least one alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal halide in a total content of greater than or equal to 0.05% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition. The present invention also relates to a process for coating keratin fibres, and in particular for making up the eyelashes, comprising a step of applying the said cosmetic composition for coating keratin fibres.La présente invention concerne une composition cosmétique de type émulsion permettant de revêtir des fibres kératiniques, comprenant : -une phase aqueuse, - au moins une cire, - au moins un tensioactif anionique comprenant un contre-ion cationique, et - au moins un métal alcalin ou un halogénure de métal alcalino-terreux en quantité totale supérieure ou égale à 0,05 % en poids par rapport au poids total de la composition.
