PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope including a standing table, capable of preventing pollution of an operation wire and preventing breakage of an outer periphery or inner periphery of a cover member.SOLUTION: The endoscope includes: a standing table rotationally configured in a storage chamber provided at a distal end body; an operation wire, the tip end side of which is connected to the standing table; and a stretchable cover member that covers the operation wire along the extension direction of the operation wire in an entire area from a connecting part of the standing table and the operation wire, to an operation-wire guide passage such that the operation wire can move relative thereto, where an interval between the tip end of the cover member and the standing table, and an interval between a base end of the cover member and the operation-wire guide passage are liquid-tightly fixed.
