PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual sense regeneration assisting apparatus which increases the number of electrodes by attaching a plurality of base plates to an eyeball and allows easy attachment to the eyeball.SOLUTION: A visual sense regeneration assisting apparatus comprises: a plurality of rectangular base plates 25a, 25b for insertion through an incision formed on an eyeball and a cable 51 which is connected to the base plates 25a, 25b, and has connection areas for making connection along outer surface shapes of the base plates 25a, 25b. The base plates 25a, 25b comprise: tip parts which have a plurality of electrodes arranged thereon and are inserted through the incision and base end parts to be placed outside the incision.
