The use of mycophenolic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as a solid drug dosage form for treating or preventing rejection of an organ or tissue transplant, and a method for producing said drug dosage form, are disclosed. The object of the invention is the method used for producing the solid oral drug dosage form with mycophenolic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof comprises extrusion of a mixture of a pharmaceutically acceptable polymer and an active ingredient, followed by addition of excipients. The technical result is the provision of a more readily usable solid drug dosage form of mycophenolic acid, and production thereof while avoiding the use of organic solvents and by employing a shorter technological process, which does not include a granulation step.
