The present invention relates to a washing apparatus, and more particularly, to a washing apparatus having a deodorizing filter and a UV module to reduce odors generated by laundry or washing apparatus. The washing apparatus according to the present invention is characterized in that a deodorizing filter is disposed in a circulation duct, and an ultraviolet module for irradiating ultraviolet rays to the deodorizing filter is disposed outside the circulation duct. In this case, a transmission window for passing the ultraviolet rays through a partial section of the circulation duct is provided so that the ultraviolet rays emitted from the ultraviolet module can reach the deodorizing filter.
