PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation valve for endoscopes with excellent durability which highly resists the trouble of making an O ring cut off along with higher workability by making a smoother operation of advancing or retracting a piston possible.
SOLUTION: In the operation valve for endoscopes, a circumferential groove 14 is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the piston 12 (22) which is so arranged to be fit inserted into a cylinder 11 (21) as to advance or retract freely in the direction of axis X and the O ring 15 comprising an elastic material loaded into the circumferential groove 14 to seal up a clearance between the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder 11 (21) and the outer circumferential surface of the piston 12 (22) is kept collapsed in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder 11 (21). The bottom surface 14a of the circumferential groove 14 is so formed as to rise closer to the center position across the width of the groove than the bank side of it.
