PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower visibility of the inside of a gantry enclosure, while retaining the visibility of visible light exited from a projector.SOLUTION: The X-ray computed tomography apparatus according to one embodiment includes a gantry device for performing X-ray CT imaging, and a processing unit for controlling the gantry device. The gantry device includes: a gantry enclosure having an opening through which a subject is inserted and equipped with an imaging mechanism of the X-ray CT imaging at least one projector provided in the gantry enclosure and exiting visible light and a permeable membrane mounted on an inner wall part facing the opening out of the gantry enclosure and transmitting the visible light exited from the projector.
