The present disclosure is related to a method to be used in the analysis and processing of actual and complex signals, quasi-periodic in medical applications where a signal is received and further processed in a manner that provides related information with certain properties and characteristics from the explored materials that originate such information. The received signal originates from the material that interacts with an interrogating signal emitted by a transducer and which has been previously introduced into an organism and modified due to its interaction with the internal structures. The method is focused on the identification, classification and exclusion of the cycles of the received signal that are affected by eventual noise which can be used to obtain an improved temporary and/or frequency representation of said signal. The identification and removal of the affected cycles allows estimating parameters and extracting useful information in a robust and reliable way, for the purpose of formulating accurate diagnoses of the status and functionality of the inspected object. The method also provides a criterion to optimize the duration of the inspections, which is useful when analysis are performed in real-time and in situations where peoples lives are under imminent risk conditions, for example, in medical specialties such as cardiovascular surgery.Se presenta un método para ser utilizado en el análisis y procesamiento de señales reales y complejas cuasi-periódicas en las aplicaciones médicas donde una señal es recibida y posteriormente procesada de manera tal que proporciona información relacionada con determinadas propiedades y características del material explorado que la origina.
