PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unfolding type wearing article capable of appropriately changing the tightening strength applied to around leg and waistline and capable of achieving an ideal fitting property matching the body shape of a wearer only by extending fastening tapes attached to stretchable side edges straight and fastening the extended fastening tapes to a part to be joined.
SOLUTION: In the unfolding type wearing article (10, 20 or 30), an abdominal-side front portion and/or back-side rear portion has side edges (Sf and Sr) on both sides in the lateral direction, and the side edge on at least one of the abdominal side and the back side is stretchable. The fastening tape 1 is attached to an outer edge side in the lateral direction of the stretchable side edge, and further, a non-stretchable part 17 is disposed in the stretchable side edge in such a way as displaced upward in the height direction when the article is worn.
