Said snore mediating mattress provides the meanstomanipulate the user to promote unobstructed breathing during sleep as well astreatment for mild forms of sleep apnea. The present invention comprises atriad ofmicrophones, a pressure sensitive layer, a network of actuators as well as aninternal computer system. When snoring is detected, the internal computersystemintegrates signals from the microphones and pressure sensitive layer wherein asignal is sent to the network of actuators to facilitate a mechanical responserelatingto a change in mattress topology. Upon cessation of snoring, mattress topologyisretained or returned to a pre-determined user setting.
