The invention relates to a pacifier (1) comprising a shield (2). On both sides of a central fixing portion (5), the shield has a brace (9) that forms a circumferential outer frame so that one or two large-surface openings (10) are provided on both sides between the fixing portion (5) and the brace (9), said fixing portion having a teat opening (5'). A further brace (11) that forms an inner frame is provided in each said opening (10), wherein portions of the brace (9) of the outer frame and portions of the brace (11) of the inner frame, said portions being adjacent at least along some sections, are not connected to one another.
