The present disclosure relates to emulsions for parenteral administration comprising 1000 to 65000, preferably 1500 to 60000, more preferably 20000 to 60000, most preferably 25000 to 55000 IU, vitamin A per ml, wherein the emulsions are free of polysorbates and polyoxyethylen/polyoxypropylene block copolymers. The present disclosure further relates to a method for manufacturing the compositions of the disclosure as well as to the use of the compositions of the disclosure.
