The present invention relates to a process for preparing a fermented herbal hair dye composition, the process comprising the steps of: (a) extracting from Curcuma longa, Lithospermum erythrorhizon, Acorus calamus, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Cinnamomum cassia, Polygonum multiflorum, Thuja occidentalis, Camellia sinensis, and Angelicae gigas, to obtain a herbal extract； (b) adding a fermented black bean extract, egg yolks, a herbal fermented black vinegar, and a powder additive to the obtained herbal extract under stirring, to obtain a first mixture； (c) adding liquid oil and bamboo oil to the obtained first mixture, to obtain a second mixture； (d) adding a Houttuynia cordata liquid mixture and purified water to the obtained second mixture, to obtain a third mixture； and (e) aging and storing the obtained third mixture. The process for preparing a fermented herbal hair dye composition and the fermented herbal hair dye composition prepared thereby of the present invention may be usefully utilized as a natural hair dye for covering grey hairs that does not cause irritation in the beauty and cosmetic industry.본 발명은 (a) 강황, 지치, 창포, 감초, 계피, 적하수오, 황금측백, 녹차 및 당귀를 추출하여 한방 원액 추출물을 얻는 단계； (b) 상기 얻어진 한방 원액 추출물에 검정콩 발효 추출물, 계란 노른자, 한방 발효 흑초 및 분말 첨가제를 첨가하고 교반하여 제 1 혼합물을 얻는 단계；(c) 상기 얻어진 제 1 혼합물에 액상 오일 및 죽력을 첨가하여 제 2 혼합물을 얻는 단계；(d) 상기 얻어진 제 2 혼합물에 어성초 혼합액 및 정제수를 첨가하여 제 3 혼합물을 얻는 단계； 및 (e) 상기 얻어진 제 3 혼합물을 숙성 및 보관하는 단계를 포함하는 한방 발효 염모제 조성물의 제조방법을 제공한다.본 발명의 한방 발효 염모제 조성물의 제조방법 및 이에 의해 제조된 한방 발효 염모제 조성물은 미용 및 화장품 분야에서 자극성이 없는 새치 커버용 천연 염모제로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
