Specifically disclosed is a sustained-release pharmaceutical composition for the treatment or prevention of hypertension or normal high blood pressure and renal dysfunction and which contains a 2-phenylthiazole compound represented by formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active component.
