The present invention relates to a process for treating keratin fibres, comprising the application to the fibres i) of at least one nucleophilic alkoxysilane polymer, in particular at least one aminoalkoxysilane polymer, and ii) at least one aliphatic-chain activated (thio)ester. The invention also relates to a cosmetic composition comprising ingredients i) and ii) and to a kit comprising ingredients i) and ii) for performing such a process. The process gives the treated damaged fibre a long-lasting hydrophobic surface state, the hydrophobicity effect being persistent after one or more shampoo washes, while at the same time affording a good cosmetic feel.La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement de fibres de kératine, consistant à appliquer sur lesdites fibres i) au moins un polymère d'alcoxysilane nucléophile, en particulier au moins un polymère d'aminoalcoxysilane, et ii) au moins un (thio)ester activé à chaîne aliphatique. L'invention concerne également une composition cosmétique comprenant les constituants i) et ii) et un kit comprenant les constituants i) et ii) permettant de mettre en œuvre un tel procédé. Ce procédé confère à ladite fibre endommagée traitée un état de surface hydrophobe durable, ledit effet hydrophobe étant persistant après un ou plusieurs lavages au shampooing, tout en offrant en même temps une bonne sensation cosmétique.
