The machine has internal combustion engines (36, 38) e.g. diesel engines, supported at a frame. A connecting transmission is arranged before the engines and drive-connected with crankshafts (40, 42) of the engines and a belt pulley (82) such that the engines are laterally arranged next to each other with respect to a forward driving direction and the crankshafts extend in the direction. The transmission has bevel gears (52, 64) e.g. bevel pinion gears, which are drive-connected with one of the crankshafts and transverse shafts (58, 80, 90). The transverse shafts are connected with the pulley.
