PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe unit enabling the enlargement of an ultrasonic probe and mounting a coil for electrical impedance matching and has an excellent inserting property.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe unit 1 is arranged within the distal side of a flexible sheath 4 with a closed end. The ultrasonic probe unit has a housing 6 that houses the ultrasonic probe 8 and a rectangular parallelopiped chip coil 9 housed within the housing 6.
