The present invention relates to a method for making a layered absorbent element, for use in disposable absorbent articles, which comprises a top layer and a bottom layer. The method includes providing a fibrous nonwoven layer having a basis weight from 20 to 100 gsm, and a thickness of from 0,25 to 5mm, providing an air laid or a wet laid manufacturing line comprising a forming screen, placing said nonwoven layer onto said forming screen, forming onto the nonwoven layer (top layer) an air laid or wet laid layer (bottom layer) comprising fibers and superabsorbent polymers (SAP) depositing these materials onto the nonwoven layer using an air laid or wet laid process where the nonwoven layer acts as forming screen. The resulting material is then compressed.La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication dun élément absorbant stratifié, pour une utilisation dans des articles absorbants jetables, qui comprend une couche supérieure et une couche inférieure. Le procédé comprend la fourniture dune couche non-tissée fibreuse ayant un grammage de 20 à 100 g/m² et une épaisseur de 0,25 à 5 mm, la fourniture dune ligne de fabrication par voie pneumatique ou par voie humide comprenant un tamis de formage, le positionnement de ladite couche non tissée sur ledit tamis de formage, la formation sur la couche non-tissée (couche supérieure) dune couche obtenue par voie pneumatique ou par voie humide (couche inférieure) comprenant des fibres et des polymères superabsorbants (SAP) en déposant ces matériaux sur la couche non-tissée à laide dun procédé par voie pneumatique ou par voie humide, la couche non-tissée servant de tamis de formage. Le matériau obtenu est ensuite comprimé.
