The invention also relates to a power unit for use in a medical handheld device, wherein the power unit includes at least one power consumer, at least one power source, and at least one switching device which is arranged to be moved from a first switching position into the second switching position when the actuation element is actuated by the user to provided power from the voltage source to operate the power consumer and/or the handheld device.
