Aqueous cosmetic compositions, comprising: at least one alkyl glucoside including a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group having 14 to 30 carbon atoms and a mono-, di- or triglucoside group; at least one extract of a plant species from the aralia family (Araliaceae); at least one extract of a plant species from the pine family (Pinaceae); at least one extract of a plant species from the flowering plants family (Theaceae); and at least one extract of a plant species from the gooseberry family (Grossulariaceae). Most preferably, the alkyl glucoside comprises a linear alkyl group having 16 to 18 carbon atoms and a monoglucoside group and is present from 0.5 to 2.0 wt.%. Most preferably, the plant components are; root extracts of te ginseng species (Panax ginseng), bark extracts of the Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), leaf extracts of the blackcurrant species (Ribes nigrum) and leaf extracts of the tea species (Camellia sinensis)
