PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging method by which the phase gradient of the magnetic moment of a proton in a specified direction in a voxel can be introduced, and to provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which can display the phase gradient as the contrast of an image.
SOLUTION: The phase gradient (&theta) of the magnetic moment of the proton in the specified direction in the voxel can be introduced by using the following formula which is formulized by taking a difference in the phase between the center of the voxel and the end section of the voxel as an independent variable (X), and a signal strength correlated with the density of the proton as a dependent variable (S).
