Coating for metallic implant materials contains a calcium phosphate mineralized collagen matrix. Independent claims are included for a metallic implant having a coating as above and the coating of a metallic implant by dipping in a collagen solution at pH below 7 and 4-40 degrees C and coating with CPP in an electronic process by galvanic polarization in an electrolyte solution containing Ca and PO4 ions.
