To provide a thread for fixing a spacer with which operation for fixing the spacer to the bone can be performed easily and reliably, and which does not adversely affect a living body, and to provide a spacer with the thread for fixing the spacer and which includes the thread for fixing a spacer and facilitates operation of securing a gap between the bones.
SOLUTION: The thread for fixing a spacer is used for fixing the spacer to the bone while the spacer is inserted in the gap between the bones. The thread for fixing a spacer is characterized in that at least one of end parts of the thread is provided with a hardened part formed by welding a reinforcement member. The spacer with the thread for fixing the spacer is inserted in the gap between the bones and has a through hole through which the thread for fixing the spacer is inserted.
