The present invention provides a sustainable process for propagating bulbs. The process primarily includes the following steps: placing a propagation tissue of a bulbous plant into a tissue-culture bag, wherein an appropriate amount of tissue-culture medium is contained, at room temperature for a sufficient period of time. The propagation tissue can propagate into bulblets that are capable of developing a root system without the need of sterilization at high pressure and high temperature. Next, the bulblets cultured from the propagation tissue are removed from the tissue-culture bag and transplanted to a culture basket containing at least one layer of vermiculite culture medium to culture a period of time at room temperature so as to enhance the root system of the bulblets and thus develop into small bulbs. Subsequently, the small bulbs with the root system are under vernalization treatment at a low temperature for a period time to break dormancy. Finally, the small bulbs after breaking dormancy are transplanted to an appropriate environment for further growth. After culturing a period of time, a specific percentage of the small bulbs will grow into flower bulbs with healthy root system. By way of the sustainable process of the present invention, the necessary culture space can be saved and the amount of time necessary for culturing the bulbs can also be reduced. In addition to the above mentioned benefits, the present process will also result in reduced operational cost. It will thus meet the requirements for sustainability.本發明提供一種植物種球的培育方法,該方法主要步驟包含:在室溫下將種球植物的繁殖組織放入含有適量組織培養基質的組培袋內,在無需高壓高溫消毒的情況下,培養一段時間形成可供發展根系的小球。接著,將所得小球移植至含有至少一層栽培介質層的栽培籃內,培養一段時間進行強化根系處理,使該小球生長成具根系的小種球。繼之,在低溫下將上述具根系的小種球冷藏一段時間以打破休眠。最後,再將該等打破休眠後具根系的小種球移植至適宜之生長環境,繼續培育一段時間後,即可有一定比例的小種球形成根系健康的開花種球。藉由本發明的種球培育法,不但可有效地節省培育空間,同時亦大幅縮短種球整體的培育時間。除了上述優異點外,本方法亦減省了操作營運所需之成本,使其符合永續培育之宗旨。30‧‧‧栽培籃32‧‧‧塑膠布40‧‧‧栽培介質121‧‧‧根系
