The present invention confirms that single treatment of Rubus occidentalis or red ginseng extracts or treatment of mixture thereof on human hepatocytes inhibits cholesterol synthesis of cells, and confirms an extractant and concentration of an extract which is the most effective for inhibiting cholesterol synthesis. The present invention: confirms effects of an extract mixture on activities of enzymes by measuring activities of intracellular cholesterol metabolism-related enzymes in a mixture of Rubus occidentalis and red ginseng extracts, polyphenol which is a single substance of Rubus occidentalis and ginsenisides which is the single substance of red ginseng and understands effects of the extracts on expression of intracellular HDL/LDL-related genes. According to a screening result of the Rubus occidentalis and red ginseng extracts, caffeic acid, elligic acid, ferulic acid, and gallic acid which are single substances among an immature fruit have a cholesterol inhibition effect in the Rubus occidentalis, and ginsenoside-Rd, ginsenoside-Rf, and ginsenoside-Rg2 which are single substances of the red ginseng extract have the cholesterol inhibition effect in the red ginseng.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015본 발명은 사람의 간세포에 복분자 추출물과 홍삼 추출물을 단독 처리 또는 혼합물을 처리하여 세포의 콜레스테롤 합성 억제 효과를 확인한 후 콜레스테롤 합성을 억제하는 가장 효과적인 추출물의 추출용매와 추출물 농도를 확인하였다. 복분자와 홍삼 추출혼합물, 그리고 복분자의 단일물질인 폴리페놀류와 홍삼의 단일물질인 Ginseniside류의 세포내 콜레스테롤 대사관련 효소의 활성을 측정하여 추출물 혼합액이 효소의 활성에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 이들 추출물이 세포내의 HDL/LDL 관련 유전자의 발현에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다.복분자와 홍삼의 추출물을 스크리닝한 결과에 의하면, 복분자는 그 추출물 중에서도 미숙과 중의 단일물질인 카페인산(caffeic acid), 엘리진산(elligic acid), 페루린산(ferulic acid) 및 갈린산(gallic acid)과 홍삼은 그 추출물의 단일물질인 진세노사이드-Rd, 진세노사이드??Rf, 진세노사이드-Rg2가 콜레스테롤 억제 효과를 가지는 물질로 판명되었다.
