System is systematically balanced in the initial position, the pressure part of the tonometer is placed close to the contact wheel, the balance system is removed from equilibrium by installing a known mass on the free shoulder and again balancing the balance system by changing the force of the pressure of the tonometer. After this, calibrate the tonometer by comparing the tonometer readings and the weight of the load. При осуществлении способа используют систему баланса в виде жестко закрепленных на единой оси вращения одинаковых плеч. На одном из плеч установлено контактное колесико, а на другом - нулевая отметка. Последовательно уравновешивают в исходном положении систему, располагают нажимную часть тонометра вплотную к контактному колесику, выводят систему баланса из равновесия путем установки на свободном плече груза известной массы и вновь уравновешивают систему баланса путем изменения силы нажатия тонометра. После этого проводят поверку/калибровку тонометр
