The present invention relates to a fishing reel facilitating opening and closing of a side cover and, more specifically, to a fishing reel having an one snap type handle to facilitate opening and closing of a side cover when a user opens the side cover to handle the fishing reel, such as separation of a spool, for maintenance in case of fishing from the rocks on the seashore or on the uneven land. To achieve the purpose, the fishing reel facilitating opening and closing of a side cover in the present invention comprises: a reel body in which a spool, wherein a fishing line is wound, is built and which has a first joint between an one side opening and the circumference of the opening； a cover assembly including a spool cover covering the opening and a side cover combined with the spool cover and fixed on the first joint； and a locking mean enabling the cover assembly to open and close the opening by rotating the spool cover. The locking mean comprises a handle combined to be swung in the horizontal direction of the spool cover and an elastic support means which is built in the spool cover and which forces the completed state when the swing movement of the handle is completed to enables the handle to be swung by the one snap method.본 발명은 사이드 커버의 개폐가 용이한 낚시용 릴에 관한 것으로,보다 상세하게는 보다 상세하게는 갯바위나 기타 비평지 지대에서 조어가 진행되는 경우에도 유지보수 등을 위하여 스풀을 분리하는 등의 조작을 위하여 사이드커버를 개방하는 경우에 사이드커버의 개폐를 용이하게 행할 수 있도록 원스냅 방식의 손잡이를 구비한 낚시용 릴에 관한 것이다.상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명에 따른 사이드커버의 개폐가 용이한 낚시용 릴은 낚싯줄이 권사되는 스풀을 내장하고, 일측 개구부와 이 개구부 둘레의 결합부를 갖는 릴본체； 상기 개구부를 덮는 스풀커버와, 이 스풀커버와 결합되어 상기 결합부에 고정되는 사이드커버를 포함하는 커버어셈블리； 및 상기 스풀커버를 회전시켜 상기 커버어셈블리가 상기 개구부를 개폐하도록 하는 록킹수단；을 포함하여 이루어지되,상기 록킹수단은 상기 스풀커버에 횡방향 스윙 운동하도록 결합된 손잡이와, 상기 스풀커버에 내장되고, 상기 손잡이의 일방향 스윙 운동 완료 시 완료상태를 강제하여 손잡이의 스윙운동이 원 스냅 방식으로 이루어지도록 하는 탄지수단을 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
