The disclosure proposes a bite block (20) for use in an oral cavity during dental treatment, wherein a fluid extracting suction is used for extracting saliva and/or debris from the oral cavity. The bite block (20) comprises a pair of bite pads (201) arranged to support a relative position of a patients jaws via engagement with upper and lower molars on a first side of the patients mouth. The bite block (20) further comprises suction receiving means (205) comprising a cavity (207) arranged between the pair of bite pads (201) and adapted to receive the suction hose. The suction receiving means (205) also comprises fixating means (209) adapted to fixate a position of the suction nozzle in relation to the bite block (20). The present disclosure also relates to oral cavity fluid extraction systems comprising the inventive bite block.
